To greet foreigners, Cambodians often practice shaking hands. Women may still use the traditional Cambodian greeting.
The simple rule is respond to the greeting you are given.
Cambodia people are addressed with the honorific title "Lok" for a man and "Lok Srey" for a woman followed with the first name or both the first and surname.
Cambodians believe that the soul resides in the head. Therefore, touching or pointing at the head is considered as rude.
Eye contact is kept minimal especially with people of higher rank in society.
Feet are considered the lowest form of the body and as such it is rude to point them at someone.
