Located ideally in the heart of the city, the Night Market in Phnom Penh or known as Phsar Reatrey gives a scenic river front view in addition to their array of exciting products. The market first operated in November 2007 and since then it has attracted a large number of tourists.

Especially to fulfill all needs of tourists, the night market offers a range of authentic Cambodian silks, handicrafts, arts and souvenirs, emanating a vibe of traditionalism, which certainly captivate the foreigners. Those traditional items in the market are not only the expression of skillful hands but also show the high quality and make perfect memorabilia's to take home. The market was originally aimed towards visitors and tourists but interestingly thought is that it is probably more popular among Cambodians than foreigners.

The market has more than 150 stalls made of bamboo and covered with traditional thatched roofs selling a wide range of items from Cambodian handicrafts, art, silks, ornaments, and souvenirs. It welcomes visitors only open from 5 pm to midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday every week.

The market has a more pleasant and cooler atmosphere than a typical local market in Phnom Penh. In the centre of the market is a big stage where they most of the time have some kind of performance or concert. Behind the stage there is also a picnic area where you can sit down and enjoy the food from the food stands and listen to music. Here you can find some Cambodian singers singing Cambodian songs and many people watched them.
