Koh Rong Samloem, two-hour away from Sihanoukville, is one of the most beautiful and biggest islands of Cambodia's coast. It is a wild tropical unspoiled island with nearly all the area is covered with dense jungle and long stretches of empty beaches. This sleepy little island is the perfect destination for people who love adventure and want to escape from the city life.

The coastline is embellished with the continuation of sandstone rock formations and beautiful beaches. In the western coast there are three gorgeous yellow sand beaches which are perfect for walking, immersing yourselves into pure nature and watching the deep pink sunsets.  The eastern coast is characterized by bays and headlands. The most fascinating feature is heart-shaped Saracen Bay, named after a British survey ship that once sailed there, HMS Saracen. In the north  and south there are two little fishing village called M’Pai Bei (means 23 in Khmer), and Koh Rong Samloem Phumi Kang Khnong. Here bases Marine Conservation Cambodia – a volunteer-funded ecotourism project which offers the chance for visitors to do volunteers as teaching in the local village or taking part in beach cleanups. Besides, visitors can join in many activities as snorkelling and diving on the island.

Koh Rong Samloem has a diverse wild flora and fauna. Visitors coming here can take a tour around to watch giant animals as geckos, dogs, hornbills and snakes. The jungle of the island is the ideal habitat for a number of endemic invertebrate species. Amphibians and reptiles are the most numerous and the island's brooks, ponds and streams are home to many kinds of small freshwater fish. There are also types of birds as the Great Horn-bill, the King Fisher and the Osprey. A group of macaques and rodents livies on the island which are very common as a consequence of human activities. Small reefs and the rocky surface of the surrounding waters are home to a remarkable variety of marine species.

Lazy Beach, a private tropical hideway on the island of Koh Rong Saloem, is located in a beautiful bay surrounded by tropical jungle. It is absolutely gorgeous, quiet and relaxed. There are lovely wood and thatch bungalows set on the golden sandy beach with clear blue waters overlooked by a stunning restaurant and bar.  Scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, exploring, and fishing are the main activities available on the island.
